I love language. I love learning new words, arguing about the Oxford comma, and convincing people to use the m-dash sparingly.
I care deeply about the words people use to tell their stories, whether it’s a blog about a technology solution, or a book-length work on personal finance. Storytelling is the heart of what I do. I work with corporate clients, publications, book publishers, and authors to create clear, engaging works of content that resonate with their audience.
With a career spanning over ten years as a professional writer and editor both in the publishing and marketing industries, I have made a living with words. I started at John Wiley and Sons in the marketing department, and then moved on as the Canadian acquisitions editor for the For Dummies brand. Next, I worked at an online marketing agency with a diverse portfolio, and following that I spent a number of years at a technology company in charge of their content marketing. This unique combination of experience has allowed me to really hone my craft, and gain a deep understanding of the power of words.
When I’m not reading, writing, or editing, I can be found in the kitchen trying out new recipes, building train tracks with my 2 daughters, or planning our next vacation.
